I'm tired of reading social media books that get readers all fired up about the value, reach and power of using social media -- but never go beyond that and actually teach them how to do it.That's why I liked this book so much. It does a nice job of blending the why/what with the how. There are very easy to follow action steps that bridge the "I think this would be good for my business" to "I now know what to do to take advantage of this for my business."

This book really taught how to get your product out there and be able to catch the attention of customers using social media I can find fault with this, but it's minor. For example, if I had written the section on Social Bookmarking, Very useful information on being able to take advantage of the marketing opportunities these days. I have a soft spot for Sophie Kinsella her writing is so easy and she always makes me laugh. I confess I read this back in September 2013 - as per my verified purchase! However the review has been sitting in my drafts for such a long time I thought I best re-read it again. Well it is just as enchanting, fun, ridiculous, beautiful as it was the first time.The story goes an up and coming attorney finds herself suddenly out of a job, she has a meltdown and then finds another job... as a housekeeper. Never mind that she is totally clueless as to any kind of domestic engineering. But how hard could this be right?This book frequently reads like episodes of an old sitcom with masses of slap stick comedy through out. Our undomesticated Goddess - Samantha, was easy to identify with and root for. The story line was fast paced without being frantic or hard to connect with emotionally. And the supporting characters played their respective roles well as Samantha moves from ambitious attorney to harried housekeeper. There is necessary romance and some soul searching as Samantha finds her footing in the the work-a-day world.If you're looking for a light, feel-good chick-lit - this fills the bill very nicely.I am a verified purchaser in Australia

Fantastic book! It was a little slow getting into and a little silly. But by page 100 I was laughing out loud - and I don’t do that in books! Some twists at the end, but carries a good message about life and what you want to get out of it - what makes you YOU! I’m so glad my book club recommended this book!

I enjoyed this book quite a bit. I do have to say I expected the "surprise turn", but that did not ruin the story at all. I don't read many romancy type books, but I really like this one and will look up others by this author. One problem I noticed here and there were words missing from sentences; a verb here, pronouns there, articles there. You end up having to read the sentence again for it to make sense, but it wasn't often enough to ruin the story. I also don't think this is a proofreader problem. I've noticed it fairly often lately in widely different books and I get the impression that it may happen when the book is converted into an e-book. It is annoying, but the story was fun regardless.

I really enjoy the situations that Kinsella develops. This book is no different. The inner monologue of her heroines is always so much fun as are the way she portrays the side characters. The love interest in this one was probably the best yet. I could always use a little more interaction between the love interests in her stories but that just means she writes it so well. The ending of this book had me tearing up and cheering. Sorry to see this one end.

I liked this book and was so happy to see Samantha come to her senses and end up with a great guy. The whole story is pretty funny though when you envision her messing up sandwiches and burning food. I thought there was going to be some huge debacle behind where the Geiger's got their money bc that still wasn't clear on that. They just didn't seem like the type who were refined enough to have that kind of money, lol. It was awesome that the Geiger's niece got an attitude adjustment in the end when she found out who Samantha really was - loved that! Overall a super fun read and kept my interest.....I'm considering trolling through some nearby neighborhoods looking for my Nathaniel! LOL!

This was the first book by Sophie Kinsella that I read and I loved it! It made me laugh out loud and I really loved the story. If you're looking for a satisfying and enjoyable chick lit book, I highly recommend this one. There are a few f-bombs and some PG romantic moments but the overall experience was charming and great.

I laughed out loud at so many parts of The Undomestic Goddess that I would receive stares if I were reading in public. But I couldn't help myself! Sophie Kinsella brought her lead protagonist, Samantha Sweeting to life. Her interior monologue was utterly amusing. I was surprised to be able to identify with Samantha so easily.Samantha Sweeting, high power attorney find herself cleaning houses despite the fact that she isn't domestic... and she's surprisingly happy about her new life. Although by about page 30 you know exactly how this book is going to end, I enjoyed reading it very much. Ms. Kinsella weaves an amusing tale with likeable characters. There were a few parts where you might have to suspend your disbelief, but it is a fun, light fiction book full of laughs so this didn't bother me. I liked the fact that although it's chick-lit and it's described as a romance, there is just enough romance to add to the story without being overbearing, sickly sweet or off topic. Well done, Ms. Kinsella!

I got the loose leaf version (cheaper) and the hole punches are on the wrong side. The printing of the book is fine but when I went to put it in a binder, everything was backwards so it opened like a manga comic. Fortunately, there is enough space to punch the other side but it is an inconvenience.

Taking a materials science/mechanical engineering course that uses this book and I love it.Very clear writing/explanations, use of intuitive notation, problems gradually get tougher at a reasonable rate. Although my area is more in control systems, this MSE book has been really interesting. I'd take another course in it if I had time.Book definitely assumes you have the prerequisites though -- some of the math can get tricky, but's all reasonable for an undergrad. Excellent colors/visually appealing. I think MSE is a very visual subject, and since I'm not a visual person, it really helps to see what's going on with clear diagrams/pictures.My professor said this is a classic MSE book and I can see why. Two thumbs up.

I sold my newer edition and got an older edition (costs less money). This book has great detail and great at explaining things. I am a materials engineer and this is by far my most referenced book for a jumping off point. If you are unclear about something, I would start with this book and it will provide general details. After that, you can use resources that are more focused on a certain subject. I use it to refresh on basic ideas all of the time. This book provides such a strong foundation you would be crazy not to have it on your book shelf for reference if you do anything really materials oriented.

When I was finishing my MatSci undergrad degree, one of my T.A.s was taking his orals for a Ph.D. He passed handily. When asked how he prepared, he said that he studied Callister until he understood *everything*. That about says it all, suitable as an intro text for sophomores, and suitable as an advanced text for grad students.

There was at least one instance of a formula required for some homework problems being found not in the main informative parts of the chapter, but nestled within one of the example problems. Also, it gives a table of element electronegativities that seems to be pretty off for some elements. Overall, I thought it was pretty good even though there were a lot of chapters that we didn't cover. It arrived in pretty good condition with a few non-text-obstructing highlighter and pencil marks.

I got this book for my first materials class, and I find myself coming back to it again and again for other materials classes and other engineering courses in general. It is excellent at giving a good understanding on concepts and is very reader friendly. My favorite textbook I have ever used.

The copy I received has seen better days, but it was cheap to rent and had all the needed information inside so I can’t complain. Expect a lot of pencil/highlighter markings. I rate at 5 stars because it did not break the bank to rent.

Most engineering books I've come across I can't read due to not knowing the engineering terms they expect you to know beforehand.This is the only book I've actually read and understood in engineering. It explains things well and doesn't use too much professional jargon that material science beginners would have to sort through.Thankful for engineering books like this that actually help me learn and not make me feel lost!!

waste of money I would send it back except it would cost more shipping than it's worth. it's just a ledger with headings..but the heading are all cut off and you really can't quite read what they say. Useless!

If you spend any amount of time listing on E-Bay this wonderful spiral-bound ledger is a great time saver. First there is a great fee "cheat sheet". Of course you can look this information up but it sure is nice to have all the information on listing fees, reserve price fees, insertion fees, final value fees and the fee for paypal transaction on one simple to use and understand sheet. The ledger part also is a great time saver and wonderful way to stay organized. It has a column for everything you need including opening fees/reserve price, listing fees, other fees, final value, final value fees, charged shipping and handling, amount paid, paypal fees, auctual shipping charges, date shipped, tracking number and a lot more. For anyone that loves selling on EBay but could use a little help staying organized and keeping the books. All in one simple to understand, straight forward, and well planned ledger I highly recommend this.

I am teaching myself to play a keyboard using piano books and fake books sheet music. This book as very simple notes to play on both staffs and it will help me learn to use both hands more quickly than any other sheet music I have.

Enjoying this book. I started lessons and can already play the songs. Not too complicated, but the songs sound great. Good variety.

Author is kidding about "easy'. This is probably at intermediate level and not what I was looking for.

These songs are not simple. If you are a teacher looking for easy songs for your student, stay away. They are arranged SO awkwardly.

After being away from the piano for many years, this was the perfect book for practice.

The song book was as listed. Many great song and for all occasions. I play for a fraternal group.

Ansible is not a very complex package to use, but there isn't a good online tutorial with enough details. That's why there are actually quite a few books on Ansible out there. Some are outdated, some have good reviews but don't progress logically. This little book by Michael Heap turns out to be the best intro to Ansible at this time. The main reason is, as another reviewer pointed out, the book progresses logically.A caveat: I have read/watched some tutorials on Ansible before, so I was able to push through the few typos/outdated commands in the book. If this is your first try, don't be discouraged. One of the reviewer said he was able to get help from the author by contacting him. But if you are an experienced programmer, you probably can figure things out yourself, because Ansible's error messages will likely point you to the right direction.I don't review products I bought very often, but I found it unfair to this little gem that it has such a low average score here. So here are my five stars.

People don't realize it but books aren't always presented after publication, the way the author intended. In this case, yes there are some confusing components encountered in Chapter 3, BUT I reached out to the author himself for help and he worked with me until it was fixed. It all amounted to a few bad line breaks, that were simply a product of publication. Not the author's fault and certainly no big deal! How ole' two star buddy below figured he could review a book after getting stuck on the third chapter is a mystery to me. My experience with the book has been great and my experience with the author, even better. Buy this book!

The book is basically a giant human-readable script asking you to copy-paste a bunch of crypto text into various files. It has a few errors in it and not much is explained or detailed. But still, it does better than what has become the norm for technical books these days and if you are a googler and used to reading public docs, then I think you will get by. One reading this book to get a first "hands-on experience" with Ansible will probably find it useful.However, I failed to proceed beyond chapter 3. Chapter 3, again, ask you to copy-paste a huge NGINX configuration file. This can not be copy-pasted as is of course because the author expends no energy properly tackling weird line breaks. You will have to figure that out yourself, many times throughout the book. But, no matter how much I fiddled around with the configuration file, I couldn't get NGINX to accept it. He whined about "invalid number of arguments in 'location' directive". Since it appears that the rest of the chapters in this book build on the work you do in chapter 3, you're pretty much screwed. So pay for the book only if you find that a completely dumbed-down introduction to Ansible over the course of three chapters is worth it.

It well structured as it starts with simple concepts while creating a set of playbooks that evolve with each chapter.The real world example, in this case, Wordpress, made it easier to understand what we were aiming to achieve.I've got the 2016 kindle version.

Chaotic. If you dont have a previous Ansible background it will be useless.Chapter on Variables is OK.There is not really a good Ansible book on the market yet.
