In case you're not sure ~ This is EROTICA and not meant for children.This is the second in a series. Although this is a good follow-up to the first story to Fifty Shades of Alice in Wonderland, I didn't enjoy it as much as the first.I enjoyed how it started, but at around Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, I was bored. Don't get me wrong, there's sexy scenes, the writing style is enjoyable, but I think I kept comparing it to the first story, which isn't fair. I couldn't pinpoint where I wandered off, except to say that perhaps this one felt, um, rushed, obligated, distracted or forced? Anyway... I definitely recommend the first book and this one is written in the same style. It does pick up, but I never actually felt what I felt with the first story. I wavered on my review from okay to I like it, and went with I like it because, well I have every intention of re-reading it, especially once I have the last installment of the trilogy and see how it fares then.All in all, I would say read it ~ Especially if you read the first installment and enjoyed that, and if you haven't read the first one, I do recommend buying that one, that is a GEM! There is a third installment ~ not sure when that's coming out, but I'll be buying that as soon as it's available ~ That's how much I enjoyed the first story.

If you are looking for a quick, quirky, erotic short book to read, this isn't a bad choice. There is a lot of steamy, erotic sex happening in Wonderland which is the main focus of what you will read. There is an overriding message of acceptance/tolerance and realizing we shouldn't judge others. There are moments when the author is banging you over the head with it and even says it in the story, that does get a bit old based on the approach but I did have fun journeying with Alice through the Looking Glass for a few hours of escapism from the daily grind. I did get this book for free during a special promotion, not sure I would have read this if I had to pay for it.

Love the sexiness, the sarcasm, and twist of fairy toes all rolled into one hell of a sexual fantasy. You will laugh, come and squeal in pure ecstasy.

OMG is all I can say, I thought I was going to explode with all sexual tension I was experiencing reading all the Alice books

This is much better than that OTHER 50 Shades crap. It's a tad political, but in a satirical fashion. The puns are priceless and the rewriting of Lewis Carroll (using most of his characters) is spicy and enticing.

Some may argue that this is not a romance. I would argue very differently. There is a heroine and a hero (even if we don't see a whole lot of him). The couple must overcome an obstacle in order to be together (Alice's closed-mindedness). And of course there must be a HEA - and is there ever!!Alice's adventure begins with her favorite white rabbit again and she is instantly thrust into a new and exciting world. The book (which is quite glad to be an ebook instead of a regular book you might trip over if it happened to be lying on the floor) is filled with wonderful puns and even occasionally makes a joke at its own expense. Yes, the book knows it's a book. The style of writing is priceless and so very much fun to read. Alice must learn to be more open minded about people before she can become a Queen and return home.We see a few of our favorite characters: Humpty Dumpty, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, and a very unusual version of the Jabberwocky - all presented with their own very unique twist. If you haven't read this series, I would definitely tell you to add it to your "must read' list. The only downfall is there was supposed to be a third book that has not yet been released.

This book delivers an awesome story line as far as bondage goes. My favorite part of this book was the shoe foot fetish part of the story. But I will not spoil this one, because if you read it you'll know why. But other than that. It's just delicious in my opinion.

Definitely not recommended if you're just looking for a romantic read with slight BDSM/fetish themes. This story was all over the place in regards to the many types of erotic behavior it explored. There are many things in this story I wasn't really interested in (Dweedle Dee and Dum) but for the most part there was something to enjoy in every encounter Alice had (imo).I honestly really love the cheeky way this is written so that it somewhat mirrors Carrol's original text. I actually found myself laughing a couple of times at how DuChamp reflected his prose through her own, with VERY differing content!I appreciated the underlying storyline which essentially is that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, everyone has their own kink, and how can you know for sure if you've never tried? Lewis' and Alice's relationship takes a dramatic turn in this story given that, not only do they find out some interesting fetishes each other likes, but they then have to learn how to deal with those desires and be honest about them. All in all I liked all of the scenes in this story but my favorites were with the bondage master, the "flowers" and the White's Queen's sex shop. I was also very thrilled to see the hatter and the hare make another appearance and thought the Jabbercocky quite creative.I will definitely be reading the final installment of the story.

Wow, I really thought this would be an epic read based on the review and price but boy was I mistaken. I hated each and every single character in this book, not a single one was likable! The plot is lost to me and quite frankly I could care less at this point. It was so drawn out and predictable I had to skim through most of it. If you are into pretentious, back stabbing, lying, manipulative young men and women with absolutely no depth or decency then this is a book for you! As for me, I felt cheated out of my time and money on this one and unfortunately I will not give this author a second chance on any other of her books.

Wow, this book was a surprise to me. I figured that the historical details might be lost in a typical young adult novel but I was wrong! The historical aspect of this book was so detailed and added so much depth to the story. I loved reading about these rich-kid type teens and how their lives were, living in high-society New York City. The plot and storylines were scandalous and enticing. Each chapter is follows one character and the book jumps back and forth between then throughout. It was fun to read about one character, then see how his or her actions affects one of the other characters.Overall, this was a great young adult story with lost of plot turns and forbidden love. But the historical details made the book really enjoyable to read and so out of the ordinary and different in a world of vampire loves stories!

I love this book! Those were my first 4 words that I thought after finishing this novel. It centers around Elizabeth Holland's world from her true love (someone her family would not approve of) to her betrothed (someone she doesn't care for but will marry as a duty to her family), her little fiery sister Diana who realizes that she doesn't have to go very far to quench her thirst for adventure, Elizabeth's lady's maid Lina who despises Elizabeth, and lastly Penelope Hayes, Elizabeth's bff with an ulterior motive of her own. Nothing is what it seems that fall in New York and the mystery deepens as the tone is set from page one at Elizabeth's funeral and then hops to a couple weeks earlier and the twisting and turning of events that led to Elizabeth's untimely demise.

I’ve read this book three times! I love it, I’m excited to read the rest of the series! I already received books 2-4 because they had better shipping plans but I know what happens in the first so I can move on to the 2nd!

I felt this was a great book from the time period. I enjoy reading books from different time periods and this made me feel transported back in time. It was a little predicable but still an excellent read.

There;s a lot of innuendoes to sexual encounters and even starts out with a young girl in the closet with an older gentleman. I don't think its very appropriate for young girls. Read at your own risk

This novel had everything I like, romance, drama, scandal, backstabbing friends, murder, and mystery. I didn't realize this book is part of a 3 book series when I downloaded it as a free book; however, I am hooked so I will definitely keep reading. Hopefully books 2 and 3 are just as good as this one.Luxe is about Elizabeth whose mother demands that she marry a wealthy man, whom she is not in love with, and whom her best friend and sister are both in love with. Liz is in love with someone else who requests she move West with him to begin a new life.

Okay - it wasn't great fiction. BUT - it enthralled my 16 year old daughter, who is not a great reader. She read it cover to cover and asked for the rest of the series. I enjoyed her stopping mid page, and telling me about the characters. I enjoyed her enthusiasm the the gusto with which she devoured the book.So if you have a teen who loves historical times, romance, intrigue and drama but perhaps lacks the intellectual depth to really pursue Jane Austen or the like - then this series really wouldn't be a bad choice.

I was baffled and confused with the Kindle Version. If you click on the Hardcover and click Look inside, you will find an actual Table of Contents.. I printed it as a guide. Until I figured out the layout, I was lost. The page numbers are only in the Hardcover book.There is a TIC in the Kindle, but the Hardcover contents was more detailed.

This is so good, I found myself underlining a LOT, and bookmarking practically every page. I just had to buy the hard copy to keep on hand, too!Very long book. When you think you’re at the end, there’s more.

I'm a Kundalini yoga practitioner. Recently a guru suggested us to read sacred texts to accelerate our development and that is how I ended up with this book. I'm grateful to Michael Laitman for compiling it and unlocking it to our generation. FYI: the energy is amazing. Namaste

Wow I absolutely love this book! I think its good to read this book after you have read a little from one of Michael Laitmans beginner type books. I would call this book Intermediate.Im so happy i found it. I finally feel like im getting answers to questions that Torah or going to Shul never answered!.. i feel this is the real “Torah” that G-d wanted to pass down to us, its a shame this is not the wisdom we are being taught at synagogue. I intend to teach my daughter this wisdom.I have to say Michael Laitman is brilliant! Wow

I am new to kabbalah and am sad to say out of touch with my true roots as a Christian. It all feels natural, and easily explains those complexities of life. I know I have yet just begun my journey of an eternity. I am very grateful for those that were able to carry the torch for humanity.

This is a wonderful book. The Zohar, it turns out, explains much about the events recorded in the Torah. I find this very enlightening on my own spiritual path. Well worth reading.

I like the explanations of the backround to the sefirot But i would appreiate a digram of the sepfhirot with arrows and letters with description so it should be easier to follow it.

Great read, especially for those who loved the film.

This is a really well written adaptation of a great thriller movie, in a nice old fashioned 40s novel condition which I love.

It was similar to The Tell Tale Heart but did have a nice twist ending

I was going to down load this, but after reading the synopsis I found it sounds a lot like Edgar Allan Poe's short story, The Tell-Tale Heart. Coincidence? I wonder. The Tell-Tale Heart preceeds The Rope by a good 86 years or so.

I received my adult activity book in the mail yesterday afternoon and have already spent a good amount of time exploring the various games/activities. I'm enjoying this book more than I thought I would. 2 small issues. There are far more coloring pages than I would like. Also, too many pages are not large print.

Gave away as part of a prize. Person that won it, loved it because of the variety of puzzles. The print is in an 11-13 font size, so you will need to have good vision.

Loved all the options of activities. It's a great mix so you wont feel like you are stuck doing the same thing over and over. Also has a few more intense mazes and soduko puzzles.

This os so cool!!! I love how it breaks it down into categories. It has everything i need for a long flight. I am so ready for my 13 hour flight and knowing i only need this produxt to entertain myself is wonderful. It makes packing easy. Best part it even has games for two people. My husband and I are enjoying hangman and tic tac toe.

Bought this for plane ride distractions. Some of the dot puzzles were ridiculously small. Would not recommend.

When I was a teen, I tried to read many fantasies. I completed only a select few, because many were too passively written for me. Then, as a young father, I was jealous that my sons had so many great fantasy books in their school library. Now, though, I no longer look on such novels longingly. I am at an age where I don’t care what other people think of my reading choices. Also, since they’re on Kindle, nobody really notices anyway. Excuse my rambling though. On with my review of “The Warrior Queen.”Just as many other reviewers, I’ve been a fan of this series since Book 1 appeared as a Kindle First edition. For this book, I bought the Kindle edition and the Audible edition. Both are wonderful, sensitive stories. It’s been fun watching this author grow.NOTE: Although you can read this as a stand-alone, I strongly advise you to read each of the first three books, priced between 1.99 and 2.99, they’re great bargains for fans of YA Fantasy:Book 1 - "The Hundredth Queen"Book 2 - "The Fire Queen"Book 3 - "The Rogue Queen:POV: Mostly first person, but some chapters are told in first person of a character differing from the main heroine.THE WRITING: If creative writing can be inspirational, that would be the best way to describe this work.BLUSH FACTOR: No worries here. Although this is a Young Adult novel, I can imagine many other folks, such as me, reading and, occasionally, weeping now and then. Often tears of joy.ADVENTURE: Absolutely. I absolutely loved this book! I have been wanting to read it since I found out there was a fourth book and I finished The Rouge Queen so I was so excited when I got the advanced copy of this book. I was not disappointed with this conclusion. I love Kalinda and Deven and Ashwin. I also liked Pons, Indah, Yatin, Netesa, Gemi, Tinley, and Enlil. I loved Kalinda's insistence to stay true to herself and stay on track on getting Deven back from the under realm. I was so happy to see that Ashwin had his own chapters. The story was fast paced and so well done as are all the books in The Hundredth Queen series. Emily is a master at spinning a vivid world with strong characters who make you fall in love with them and root for them even when you don't quite agree with what they are doing. The ending was explosive and perfect! I am happy to see all the characters get their happily ever after.

I’m really glad that I was able to support this series from the very beginning, so it made reading this last book a bit bittersweet. I was ready to reach the end of the journey but sad to know it would be the last book in the series. Still, I was excited for this book and it did not let me down ❤As always, I felt like King did a fantastic job of summarizing the previous books without it feeling too overdone. It was perfect for those of us who have been waiting since the last book. It covered major events from all the past books which was really helpful in refreshing my memory before I really dove into The Warrior Queen.This book was one that I was (yes) excited about, but I was also really worried about it too. From the very beginning, I have always stood by the fact that I did not enjoy the romance in this series. It seemed too instalove-like to me and I just never felt that connection to Kalinda and Deven as a couple. And really, I didn’t like Deven as a character too much for a while either because of how he took so long to accept Kalinda’s bhuta side. Knowing that this book was mainly going to be about Deven and Kalinda’s love and her quest to save him made me hesitant about reading this book. I mean, if it’s a book about my least favorite aspect of the story… kinda seems like I wouldn’t like it right? Well, that wasn’t the case.I think the fact that King wove so much of the bits and pieces of lore and mythology from the series into this one book really helped to pull me in and invent more in Kalinda and Deven’s romance. Although I can’t really go into detail without giving spoilers, I will say that I loved seeing those stories from earlier in the series make a comeback and become such important parts of their history in this book. It made it feel tragic and doomed, but in a way that made me really wish for them to succeed. Not to mention, getting to flesh out more of the lore and Kalinda’s past was just so enjoyable ❤❝ “This journey will lead you into great darkness. When you finish, you won’t be as you are now.”“I understand.”“You don’t yet, but you will.” ❞The only thing that I think bothered me with this book was how long it took for Kalinda to make progress in her quest to get Deven back. It felt really slow and repetitive for the first few chapters when Kalinda and Ashwin were still researching and trying to find a solution to getting Deven back alive. It just felt like everyone was at a bit of a standstill for a while as a way to build up tension at the palace.And speaking of the palace: it’s time to talk about Ashwin and Gemi, because they are the other side of this book. It was such a relief to have Ashwin move on from Kalinda in this book (that was another romance I wasn’t too crazy about for the obvious reason being he wasn’t really in love with her so much as the idea of her). I liked that we got to spend more time getting to know him even if I didn’t always agree with his decisions as ruler. I felt he was a little naive and (I’ll just say it) stupid in the beginning when it came to dealing with Lokesh.The Warrior Queen was basically telling two stories in a way: one was Kalinda’s quest to save Deven, and the other was Ashwin and Gemi’s struggle to lead the empire and incorporate bhutas into society. It definitely kept the story interesting once Kalinda’s journey into the void began because there was so much at stake for both sides. The back and forth of it made the book more intense because you had to wait to find out what happened to one pair and it just built up that tension. I really enjoyed it.Finally, I think the ending was just what we needed. I liked the way that things ended with Ashwin and Gemi especially because it didn’t resort to some instalove and it felt… promising. I liked that it was written as them taking things slow and trying to build an actual relationship rather than rushing into things. I also liked how things ended with Kalinda and Deven, especially with the way that the people of the empire turned things around. Plus, I was really happy with Ashwin’s solution to the ranis. Overall, this was a fantastic and thrilling conclusion to the series that really showed me why I’ll be keeping an eye out for King’s next great series.The Warrior Queen was released on August 14th, it’s a book that’s sure to pull you in!

All I can say is whoa! What a way to end a series and just finish up and complete stories!!! I was captivated from start to finish but when I got to around 75% to the end I completely ignored my family! Lol. This was a great read and the heroine- our Warrior Queen... KALI! Was amazing! The love she has for Deven and Deven for her just melted me throughout and the twists and turns with the information about WHO she truly was and how her entire self was powerful than what anyone could’ve ever expected was icing on the cake! You blended just enough, action, strife between characters, love, loyalty, mythical ideals, and betrayal in this book perfectly and I couldn’t have been more satisfied. I read this book and felt like I could actually SEE the characters and the different scenes the way you described everything! Great Job Ms. Emily King! You have a fan for life! Can’t wait for more but I will be honest.. I’m biased towards Kali and her Soul Fire! Awesome read!
